Nikki Alagha - Founder and Designer
Every design starts with movement and emotion. I believe that the most cherished possessions are those that connect on an emotional level and my goal is to recreate that feeling with every piece I design. My persian background, and being raised by an artist, drive me to never shy away from colours, curves or textures. Hints of gold, patterns or an intricate detail that have been inspired by tradition can always be found in my work.
After immigrating to Vancouver, Canada in 1997, I was fortunate enough to discover and nourish a passion for the Arts. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design from Emily Carr University and after working a few years in the industry, I started my own full time design practice, Nikki Alagha Design. Exploration, emotion and intent are cornerstones of my studio. Creating pieces that are cherished and used, inspired by lived experiences.
Nikki Alagha Design - Studio
Nikki Alagha Design is a product design company based in Vancouver, Canada, with a focus on furniture, lighting and jewelry design. Along with the permanent portfolio pieces and collections, the studio works with clients on custom projects, taking on collaborations and commissions.
Founded in 2018, Nikki Alagha Design collections has debuted both nationally and internationally, in trade shows such as Wanted Design Manhattan, Interior Design Show Toronto and Milan Design Week. In a short time, Nikki Alagha Design has grown into a multifaceted company. Always approaching design with intent and emotion.
